We’re leading Australia's shift from reacting to mental health conditions to preventing it.

We unite evidence, policy, and lived experience to prevent mental health conditions before they begin.

Because prevention starts with all of us.

Why Prevention?

Prevention means acting early, before people begin to struggle or reach a crisis point.

It focuses on creating the conditions that support good mental health and reduce the risk of mental health conditions developing.

By understanding and addressing the drivers of poor mental health, we can improve people’s wellbeing and prevent harm before it occurs, reducing pressure on health systems and supporting communities to thrive.
